A working mom's dilemma

I bet all working moms feel more or less the same way I do.  On one hand, I really want to stay with my little princess, watching her every single movement.  On the other hand, I have to spend at least 9 hours (including commute) a day for my job which I can’t afford to lose both financially and emotionally.   Of course, I’m not saying that the Daddy is not doing his job.  Actually Perry is doing a lot too.  He’s working hard on both his full time job and GMAT for MBA program.  But as you know, Daddy is Daddy…

Anyway, this is the life.  As a friend of mine once said, time is like cleavage.  You squeeze it, then you’ll get some…  J  That’s exactly what I’m doing now- Email to blog 5 minutes before a meeting.   Em… that’s another reason l like Blogger.  I can email to blog using my blackberry when I am on the go (sounds like work for Google, but I’m not J ).

Finally, have to say something about Alexis (the main reason I started to blog).  I love her smile during sleep.  Every morning, after I feed her and change her diaper without waking her up, she smiles!  This really makes my day.  Such a good way to start a busy day!

  1. At least you have your mom here to help. Imagine only the three of you and you need to get up every morning before 7 to get the day prepared and send your little one to daycare....not mention the busy after-work hours spend in between housework and babysitting.....never an ending......

I have to say, we paid for every minute of joy of raising a kid....but all worth it, right?

Btw, I know Cissy is coming over to your place soon. What's your plan? May we join you guys? I thought a couple of times of meeting your little angel but have never got any chance to do so so far..sorry about that.......

  2. You are right. I cannot imagine what my life would look like after my Mom goes back to China. And you're right again about the payback of raising a kid. We do get lots of fun, overweighting what we have to pay.

Of course you're very welcome to join us. I actually meant to contact you earlier. We don't have any plan yet. Cissy just decided to come. Do you have any suggestions?
No sorry about anything. I know you are very busy. Both of us are. I really look forward to seeing you soon!
